My journey has been anything but ordinary. From spontaneously attending a metal festival to swimming through breathtaking caves and cascading waterfalls, Mexico truly has it all. Each experience has enriched my appreciation for this beautiful country. Mexico City, in particular, has been a delightful surprise. Hey everyone! Sorry for the late reply – if anyone’s even following along, haha! I got totally swept up by the sunny beaches, tasty tacos, and amazing live music. The weather here is unreal, and honestly, it's been hard to focus on anything else!   Solo travel has always been something I love, and it’s amazing how many cool people you meet along the way. I was In Puerto Vallarta and Sayulita, and let me tell you, the beaches here are  next level . In Puerto Vallarta, I’ve was chilling at Colomitos Beach, and if you’re ever in Sayulita, don’t miss La Lancha. Both spots are super easy to get to by local bus, and trust me, the surf here is perfect. They’re big on surf lessons and organize daily beach trips—definitely recommend if you’re into catching some waves! I got to experience  Dia de los Muertos  while I’ve been here. If you don’t know, it’s a multi-da...

Helping in shops and learning the new and traditional ways of tattooing.

Introduction to ArTtr3k

Image
Welcome to my first ever blog, called Art Tr3k       ( Art trek)  by Dejana Lukac. As it literally will be me trekking around Central and South America with just my backpack full of art supplies.  I’m taking a year off from teaching art to explore different forms of creativity. I’ll connect with friends in the tattoo business to learn about their craft and culture. After that, I’ll travel solo, painting murals in remote spots across Central and South America. This year is all about growth and becoming a stronger artist and educator. Join me as I share the magic of artistic expression and the stories behind each creation. Together, we'll discover the beauty of art on the road.
