Embracing Adventure and Art in Mexico

Time has flown by over the past month, and I find it hard to sit down and write. The allure of adventure calls me, especially as I explore the charming small towns of Mexico, each brimming with stunning architecture, captivating sculptures, and an abundance of free art museums. My days have been filled with pinning amazing murals and potential destinations on Google Maps, all while discovering quirky cafes that fuel my creative spirit.

My journey has been anything but ordinary. From spontaneously attending a metal festival to swimming through breathtaking caves and cascading waterfalls, Mexico truly has it all. Each experience has enriched my appreciation for this beautiful country.

Mexico City, in particular, has been a delightful surprise. Despite warnings about its dangers, I found it to be an incredibly diverse, offering something for everyone. As someone who typically shies away from city life, I spent six days there—and I could have easily stayed longer. One of the highlights was visiting the iconic Casa Azul, the home of Frida Kahlo. If you plan to go, be sure to purchase your tickets at least two weeks in advance. I opted for a ticket through GetYourGuide; while it wasn’t the cheapest option, but as I am not one to plan I managed to get a ticket as few days before going.

As I continue to explore this vibrant country, stay tuned for more stories from my travels in Mexico.
